You do not want to miss this star party!

Mark your calendars for the best star party yet! The 19th annual Mason-Dixon star party starting July 30 thru August 3rd! We look for a record breaking attendance for the 2008 MDSP. The MDSP is held on private land. MDSP has a flat level field with a half a mile of unlimited camping space and stars can be seen less than 10 degrees above the horizon and the Milky Way is easily seen. Cool off in the pool, bring the family. Win a Solar PST telescope!

For 2008  there will be the MDSP free all you can eat picnic to all registered members, the pool with lifeguard will be open and a Coronado PST Solar scope will be raffled off  along with other GREAT raffle prizes and some other cool NEW additions coming for 2008 to be announced. This event is held at the private Footlight ranch or as we like to call it...Camp Mason Dixon!

Great flat horizon at the Mason-Dixon Star Party! The Milky Way is easily seen and stars can be seen less than 10 degrees above the horizon. Photo below Courtesy YCAS/MDSP member Stephen Roffo
